Isle of MTV coming to Asia & Okinawa
One of Music Television’s biggest and longest running outdoor festivals, Isle of MTV, is coming to Miyakojima March 23.
This marks the first time the popular MTV program held in Europe since 2002 has come to Asia, and Okinawa’s Nansei Rakuen Miyakojima Resort Special Venue was picked. The eight-hour live television event takes place this Saturday. Venue gates open at 111 a.m. and the program begins at 1 p.m.
A dozen musical groups including AK-69, Daishi Dance, Far East Movement, Infinity 16, Millyah Kato, Kumi Koda, Taku Takahashi and World Order are on line to play. Tickets are available for ¥5,800 each. Organizers say the time schedule may change, and there will not be ticket refunds due to artist changes.
