Naha police arrested a man suspected of killing his acquaintance by throwing a concrete block that hit the man’s head in the evening of May 16.

According to investigators, 52-year-old Yoshinobu Higa threw the concrete block at 60-year-old Hiromitsu Nakamura for still undetermined reasons. Both men live in an assisted living facility in the Akebono district of Naha City.

Nakamura was taken to a hospital unconscious, but was confirmed dead about midnight.
