Okinawa’s annual rainy season has officially started one day later than last year and five days later than average.

The Okinawa Metrological Agency declared the start of the rainy season in Okinawa on May 14. Usually the rainy season starts around the 9^th of May. Last year it started on May 13. According to the agency, the rainy season will usually end by June 23.

The forecast for the coming seven days predicts cloudy or almost cloudy days with rain showers.
