Authentic Japanese swords are on display in Tembus Hall in Naha over the weekend.

More than 50 Japanese swords and accessories will be on view Friday through Sunday at a special Sword Exhibition and Demonstrations at the Naha City Bunka Tenbus Center.

Okinawa’s Meishi-kai team will perform demonstrations of iaido, a Japanese sword martial art, each day of the event. Organizes point out this is the perfect opportunity to experience a fabulous selection of real Japanese swords, known as the “soul of the samurai”. Dozens of Japanese swords, as well as historical accessories, will also be available for both to examine and purchase.

The Sword Exhibition & Demonstrations run noon ~ 7 p.m. each day.  Admission is free for both the exhibition and the demonstrations, which start each day at noon.  Additional information is available at http://santouryu.com.
