A fire broke out in a three-story residential house in Makabi, Naha City, Sunday afternoon. The fire destroyed the entire second floor of the building.

A man living on the second floor suffered burns on his hands and legs, but was not seriously injured.

According to Naha Police, the man lives on the second floor alone. A person passing by the house noticed smoke billowing out of a window and called the police.

It took just over two hours for the firefighters to put off the flames. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
