Mihama cosplayers ready for photo session
Depot Island shopping complex in Mihama is offering this Sunday the background to people who like to try cosplay, or dressing as popular cartoon characters, and want to exchange information about the activity in an informal and casual way.
Organizers say anyone is free to join the event that starts 1 p.m. and is scheduled to continue to 6:30 p.m. The event centers on the event space of Depot Island next to the ocean. The venue is also known for its regular weekend flea market.
Those who want to take photos of the cosplayers are welcome to do so. Photos can be snapped within the event space, at the AUK fashion building, and
sidewalks and parks near the site, but no photos can be taken inside the stores or at their entrance space. However, those wearing costumes are welcome to enter most of the shops.
Prohibited items in the event include model guns, swords, and iron pipes of any kind, as are roller skates and skateboards. The event will be on rain or shine, but those attending should prepare for the event of rain by themselves.
