JAL readies SKY SUITE 767 service from Narita

JAL’s new SKY SUITE is not lacking in creature comforts.

Japan Airlines is further upgrading its international flight services, introducing fully revamped Boeing 767-300ER aircraft dubbed JAL Sky Suite 767.

The new aircraft are slated for introduction on flights between Tokyo Narita and Vancouver, beginning December 9th.   The Sky Suite 767 program is the second element of the airline’s New SkyProject.

JAL interior designers created a theme “Designed to evoke a ‘one-class higher’ feel”, with the the revamped planes structured for additional comfort and functionality. The fully-flat seats in Business Class  are tagged JAL SKY SUITE II.  They provide unobstructed aisle access for an undisturbed flight, permitting maximum personal space that is expected to enhance the restful nature of flight. JAL Sky Wider in Economy Class offers more pitch and a slim-style seatback design that gives about 10 cm more legroom than the present seat pitch.

JAL Sky Suite 767 will enter service on flights between Tokyo Narita and Kuala Lumpur starting in January 2014, a month after the Tokyo ~ Vancouver launch.  The airline also intends on introducing this new service onto other long-distance Southeast Asia and Honolulu routes.
