Ishigaki Mayor Yoshitaka Nakayama announced Dec. 19 the holding of a music festival to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the new Ishigaki Airport on Mar. 8^th, 2014.

The festival will be held at the Soccer Park Akanma on Ishigaki Island.

Ishigaki native artists musical group Begin and singer Rimi Natsukawa are scheduled to headline the concert. In addition, performers in the concert include Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra and Kariyushi 58 among others.

The event is scheduled to take place every year through 2017. Admission fee will be required but the cost of tickets has not been decided yet.
