Okinawa reversion year music digitized, on sale on i-Tunes
Radio Okinawa in collaboration with record company High Wave has digitized Okinawan music from 1972, and has it now on sale on i-Tunes. The music has been available since Wednesday.
The purpose of the venture is to digitalize analog records before they degrade, and at the same time, to introduce Okinawan culture to the world. Traditional Okinawan music was rarely recorded on CDs, and it has been a long-standing wish of descendants of Okinawan people worldwide to have his project to become reality.
