Two men rob restaurant manager of ¥700,000

A man in mask approached a restaurant manager returning from work on a parking lot in Maejima, Naha City, in the early hours of Monday morning, flashed a knife and robbed the manager of ¥700,000 in cash. The robber then fled the scene with another man who was waiting for him on a motor scooter. The manager was not harmed.

According to Naha Police, the restaurant manager was on his way to the company office with the days’ earnings when a man came out of nowhere pointing a knife to his chest and demanding the money. Out of seven bags containing the monies, the rbber grabbed three.

The burglar was wearing a mask, was about 20 years old, 160 cm tall, and wore a jersey and black pants. The crime occurred on Highway 58 near Maejima Crossing. After the robbery the burglars rode off towards the Miebashi area.
