And this week’s winner is…

Anthony Pomerinke is the winner of the first weekly raffle of 2014. He won a pair of tickets to the trick art exhibition that is currently running in Okinawa Outlet Mall Ashibina in Toyosaki, Tomigusuku. The exhibition is organized by S.D. Space Design Corp. from Tokyo, and will continue through February.

Anthony is from St. Louis, MO, a place he says is very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. He has been on Okinawa two years with three more to go. “I enjoy living on this island,” he says. Most of all he likes the culture that respects people. “No one looks you down here, and I like that,” he explains. Other aspects he finds enjoyable are scuba diving opportunities, and delicious food, of which his favorites are horse sashimi and Okinawa soba.

Being a scuba diver, he would like to see, before he eventually leaves, the waters around the Keramas and the underwater “pyramids” that are of Yonaguni Island. ON the dry land he would like to visit Sapporo Ice Festival.
