Naha Police arrested a 54-year-old man, on Mar. 18^th, for an attempted murder after he strangled his 49-year-old wife with an electrical cord on Kume Island.

The woman was taken to a hospital in a cardiopulmonary arrest, where she died in the afternoon next day. After the woman died, police changed the investigation to murder.

The man has admitted to the charges.
