As Okinawa’s heat ratchets onward and upward, so does the MCCS festival season starting with Foster Festival. This year’s festival will be held this Saturday and Sunday, from 2 to 10 p.m. on both days.

This free event open to all DoD ID card holders and Japanese citizens. 

Festival-goers can expect to experience everything that makes a festival an event worth visiting with free top-notch entertainment, game booths, amusement rides, Kiddie Land, and a variety of festival foods such as yakitori, yakisoba, spare ribs, Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs and more.

The most anticipated event at Foster Festival must be featured entertainment from Uncle Kracker, who will perform live 8 p.m. Saturday. With top-quality entertainment, great food and games for all ages, Foster Festival is sure to be a favorite festival for the whole family.

There will be shuttles from designated parking areas to the festival grounds. No pets, outside alcohol, bottles, backpacks or coolers allowed. Taxi and daiko services will be available.
