A 34-year-old motorcyclist lost control of his motorcycle early in the morning, Apr. 10, in Shirakawa, Okinawa City, and crashed into a roadside reflector column.

According to Okinawa City Police, Ryu Nakahara, for an unknown reason, crashed into the column that stands on the sidewalk. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, and was pronounced dead about an hour later.

Investigation into the cause of the accident continues.
