A construction crew found a WWII era unexploded bomb in Onoyama Park in Naha, Tuesday. The JGSDF Bomb Disposal Unit removed the dud in the afternoon on the same day.

The bomb was removed starting 3 p.m. causing an evacuation of 110 residents from an area within 160 meters from the site. The evacuation started at 2:30 and the work was completed by 4 p.m.
