Okinawa Prefectural Police have announced traffic control and restriction measures due to the visit by the Emperor to take place Thursday and Friday. The restrictions concern mainly Naha Airport, and areas surrounding the Prefectural Office Building.

On Thursday, Highway 331 between Naha Airport, Tomigusuku and Itoman will be closed from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Signs will be posted to inform about alternative routes.

On Friday, some roads surrounding the Prefecture Office Bldg., Naminoue Shrine and Naha Airport will be closed between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Detour instructions will be posted on affected areas as well.
