Officials at Kin Town, in cooperation with the Yambaru Town Family Support Center, are planning to open a facility for temporary care of infants. The final decision on the plan is scheduled to be made at the town assembly meeting Friday,

If the assembly decides to go ahead, the facility would open from July. This would be the first this kind of facility in Kin Town.

The support center is planned to be open on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Due to the lack of nursery school teachers, there are 37 families in line for a nursery vacancy, and 22 of those on the waiting list are infants. A slot in the temporary facility is scheduled to cost ¥13,000 per month.
