JSDF bands provide music together with some local entertainers at the festival.

The annual Summer Festival hosted by the Ministry of Defense and the three Self Defense Forces is promising top notch entertainment Friday when the Naha Air Base gates are opened to the public.

Admission is free to the Summer Festival, with gates opening at 5:20 p.m.  The festival itself runs 6 p.m. ~ 9 p.m., promoting the Air Self Defense Forces, Ground Self Defense Forces and Maritime Self Defense Forces with static equipment displays, entertainment, and a bevy of food choices.  It is happening at the JASDF Naha Air Base, (Map https://goo.gl/maps/LZek7)

Shojo Ten and Soluna are all on tap. There will be food and drinks for all to enjoy, but please drink responsibly.

The venue is a five-minute walk west from the Monorail Akamine Station. Parking on the base is limited and will close once it is full. It is highly recommended the Summer Festival visitors use public transportation.
