This ship that was launched in 2002, is not a normal cruise liner but a ship built with condominium-type residences that people can own and live in full time.

The World has so far traveled 40 countries and called at 140 ports. The ship is staying in Naha two days, and the reportedly heading to Russia through Kyushu in Japan, but the routing schedule is decided by the owners of the condominiums, and kept secret due to security. Owners can stay in the ship as long as they want or drop off anywhere they want. Some of them have been on the ship for more than 10 years.

The ship provides dining in four restaurants, esthetic spa, library, theater, pool, fitness and golf service. on its 12 decks with 165 condos. The size of an average residence is100 square meters.
