Skymark to run direct flights between Okinawa and Hokkaido
Skymark Airlines, one of Japan’s first low-cost carriers, announced a plan to run direct flights between Naha and Sapporo in Hokkaido for a limited time period from Jan. 29, 2015 through Mar. 28.
According to the plan, the airline is scheduled to run the flights only from Thursday through Sunday from Jan. 29th to Feb. 28th, 2015, followed by one daily round during the month of March.
The current regular one-way airfare for an adult from Naha to Sapporo is ¥44,000, but Skymark officials say that hey would be able to discount the fare to as low as ¥11,000 one way.
The company also say they would decide whether to continue the flights after Mar. 29th depending on passenger responses.
