Skymark Airlines, one of Japan’s first low-cost carriers, announced a plan to run direct flights between Naha and Sapporo in Hokkaido for a limited time period from Jan. 29, 2015 through Mar. 28.

According to the plan, the airline is scheduled to run the flights only from Thursday through Sunday from Jan. 29^th to Feb. 28^th, 2015, followed by one daily round during the month of March.

The current regular one-way airfare for an adult from Naha to Sapporo is ¥44,000, but Skymark officials say that hey would be able to discount the fare to as low as ¥11,000 one way.

The company also say they would decide whether to continue the flights after Mar. 29^th depending on passenger responses.
