Vessel Hotel Kaihatsu, a company that manages the Vessel Hotel Campana Okinawa at American Village in Chatan announced on Oct. 3^rd that it plans to construct a new wing adjacent to the current hotel to be opened in fall 2016.

The new wing is planned to have 166 guest rooms, increasing the total capacity of the hotel to 327 rooms.  A Chatan-based real-estate developer Sofia will construct and own the building, and lease it to the Vessel Hotel as a property of Sofia.

The new wing will have a ground floor area of 5,198 square meters and the gross floor area of 23,096 square meters.  The plan includes a swimming pool exclusively for the use of the hotel’s guests on the roof on its 12^th floor and a large spa facility on the 11^th floor.  The new wing will have restaurants and a convenience store on the first floor.

The Vessel Hotel Kaihatsu operates a total of 17 hotels in various parts of Japan.  Once the new wing is complete, the Vessel Hotel Okinawa will be the largest facility in the Vessel Hotel Group.
