Czech Philharmonic String Trio to play in Naha
The Czech Philharmonic String Trio & Kei Toguchi (flute) concert debuts Saturday afternoon at the Palette Kumoji Civic Theater in Naha City.
From the strings country, Czechoslovakia, three of the nation’s top string players are performing in a concert with acclaimed Okinawan flute player Kei Toguchi. The great players include the section leader of a world famous orchestra that will attract and hold the audience with rich sounds of strings and beautiful harmony. The performers are Ota Bartoš (violin), Jaroslav Pondělíćek (viola), Frantiśek Host (cello), and Kei Toguchi (flute).
They will play a wide range of variations of traditional and arranged songs. The program includes Franz Schubert’s String trio No.1 D.471, Antonin Dvozak’s Fantasy,
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Flute Quartete No.1 KV.285, and Flute Quartete No.4 KV.298.
Doors open for Saturday’s program at 1:30 p.m., with the performance beginning at 2 p.m. at Palette Civic Theater, 1-1-1 Kumoji, Naha City. Advance tickets for Adults are ¥3,000, while high school students and younger pay ¥2,000. Tickets at the door are an additional ¥500. Children ages seven and younger are not permitted at this concert.
