Four-car pileup in Makiminato sends 12 to hospital
A four-car pileup occurred about 2 p.m., Saturday, at the intersection of the Ginowan Bypass and Highway 58 in Makiminato, Urasoe City.
12 people were taken to a hospital as a result of the accident. A 69-year-old man who caused the accident when he crashed into a car that was waiting to turn left at the intersection, suffered most serious injury fracturing his ribs. The other 11 people had only minor bruises.
According to Urasoe Police, the car going towards Route 330 on Ginowan Bypass hit a car waiting to turn left at the Makiminato Crossing. Because of the impact of the collision, two cars in front of the car that was hit first hit one after another.
