Survival game festival takes new aim this weekend

Survival game festival takes aim this weekend

‘Sabage’ is the Japanese abbreviation for a survival game festival engaging in all out warfare survival using Airsoft model guns.

Girls are welcome to join the game.

The survival game, Operation Okinawa Vol. 3, Sabage Fest, was moved to this weekend, Apr. 18 and 19 due to inclement weather over last weekend. The place will be at Uken Beach in Uruma City.  The entry fee is ¥1,200 for each day, Saturday and Sunday.  Everyone from beginners to groups of friends, couples and families are welcome to compete. Gates open at 9 a.m. and the shooting starts at 10 a.m.

The event is not only a survival game, but also includes a night game, cosplay event and raffle prizes. The organizer says the survival game might not be well known yet in Japan, “but we want to build this game to one of major sports and fun with everybody.”  The Sabage has a website and Facebook pages.   Look for “Okinawa airsoft group” on Facebook. Their website is at http://okinawa.militaryblog.jp/.
