A 45-year-old businessman visiting Okinawa was found floating in a cardiac or respiratory arrest in the ocean near a popular diving spot ‘Blue Cave’ at Cape Maeda, Onna Village, about noon on Apr. 18th.

The man, who was from Yawata City in Kyoto, was taken unconscious to a hospital where he died about an hour later.

According to Naha Coast Guard officials the man had gone snorkeling and was wearing a life jacket. He was visiting Okinawa on a company trip with his colleagues.
