Draelon Burns wins TK bj-Legue “Best 6th Man Award”

Pro basketball TK bj-League announced April 30th the recipients of its annual awards for the season 2014-15.

Draelon Burns of the Ryukyu Golden Kings received the award called the “Best 6th Man” that is given to he league’s best performing player who has been coming off the bench as a substitute and contributed to the team wins. Burns started from the bench in all 48 games of the season, and collected the second longest playing time, totaling 1,259 minutes, on the floor.  He scored an average of 15.1 points per game.

Hearing of winning the award Burns said, “I’m eternally grateful for being awarded the prize.”

Masaya Karimata who hails from Okinawa and used to play in the Golden Kings team, and is now a member of Fukushima Firebonds, was chosen the MVP.
