A mini vehicle driven by a 38-year-old businessman hit a 3-year-old boy Sunday morning on a supermarket’s parking lot in Agarihama, Yonabaru Town.

According to Yonabaru Police, the businessman’s car knocked down the boy who was coming out of the store, and drove over him. The boy suffered a severe injury on his chest and lungs, but his injuries are not life threatening.

The man told investigators, “I stepped on the brakes as soon as I realized the boy was in front of me, but it was too late.”
