Okinawa Police arrested a 27-year- dependent wife of a marine, Kathy Vega, a resident of Chatan Town, on suspicion of driving under influence on a street in Uechi, Okinawa City.

According to Okinawa City Police, a police patrol stopped Vega when she was about to drive wrong way up a one-way street in Uechi, Okinawa City, around 6:30 Sunday morning.

Police smelled alcohol in Vega’s breath and the breathalyzer test showed four times the legal limit of alcohol in her breath. Vega claims “I had alcohol the day before yesterday” and has denied the charges.
