In it’s series of cultural events for the general public, Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University presents the Summer Jazz Night 2015 featuring Akira Ishii Trio.

The concert takes place at the OIST Center Court on June 25th starting at 19:00. The doors to the venue will open at 18:30. Admission is free and no advance reservation is required.

The Akira Ishii Trio consists of Akira Ishii on piano, Tomokazu Sugimoto on bass and Sebastian Kaptein playing drums. Arisa Muto will join the trio as a vocalist.

Pianist Akira Ishii has been an acclaimed performer on the Japanese jazz scene since his debut album in 1997. Since then he has published a steady flow of albums every year, all in all almost 50 so far, both solo and with various combos.
