A taxicab ran down a 65-year-old unemployed Urasoe man early in the morning of Jun. 4th at a crossing in Maeda, Urasoe City. The man was taken to a hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

The driver of the taxi is a 68-year-old man from Nishihara Town.  The accident site is a one-lane intersection with good visibility.  The police is investigating the cause of the accident.
