Tomigusuku Police arrested a 41-year-old female restaurant worker Jun. 4th, on suspicion of an attempted murder of her 44-year-old common-law husband.

According to investigators, the woman is suspected of stabbing the man on the right side of his chest with a kitchen knife at a religious facility in Oroku, Naha City. Police say the woman has admitted to stabbing the man, but insists she did not intend to kill him, and is denying attempted murder charge.

The man was taken to a hospital. His wound is not threatening his life.
