Helios Pub campaign features all local ingredients
Local craft beer restaurant Helios Pub on Kokusai Street in Naha is currently conducting a special campaign called “Awatto Beer Ste” that refers to awamori, beer and steaks that are all grown and produced on Okinawa.
During the campaign customers can enjoy Helios craft beer, awamori, cocktails, rum, plum liquor (Ume-shu) and more for drinks, and Okinawa’s brand-name beef steak and pork dishes for only ¥2,980 (tax not included) as much as they can stuff into themselves in 90 minutes!!
The beef is Japanese A5/A4 class Wagyu beef while pork dishes are made with Okinawan Aguu pork that is an original Okinawan brand and regarded throughout Japan as very high-class pork. The meals include Japanese beefsteaks, Japanese beef hamburgers, Aguu pork steaks and Japanese beef chopped steaks.
Those who visit the pub during the campaign in groups of four or more, can order a giant thick Japanese beefsteak that can be divided among the group or Aguu pork steak with bone, also a very substantial dish.
The motto of Helios Co. is “Local products for local consumption,” and in line with their motto, everything from Helios’ alcoholic drinks to dishes served in the pub is made using local ingredients.
Helios Pub is located on Kokusai Street in Naha, the most famous street on Okinawa, about halfway between Saion Square and Palette Kumoji. Access to the pub is easy by bus or cab, and for those who come by their own car, pay parking is available just around the corner.
Helios has not decided how long it will run the campaign, so it’s best to visit as soon as possible. The pub is open 11:30 to 23:00 on weekdays Monday thru Thursday and Sunday, and 11:30 – 24:00 on Friday and Saturday.
