Nago Police arrested 59-year-old unemployed drifter, Kokin Maja, Thursday, on suspicion of a hit-and-run, driving under influence, and other offenses.

According to police, the man had earlier this year hit someone while driving a car without a license and valid compulsory auto liability insurance. The car inspection had also expired and in addition, he had been drinking when the accident occurred.

The suspect was injured in the accident but had run away from the hospital after the accident and gone missing.

Police had been searching him for five months, and found him in Nago City on Jul 16th.
