14-year-old arrested for attempted robbery
Okinawa City Police arrested a 14-year-old junior high school boy, Aug. 2nd, on suspicion of an attempted robbery and unlawful entry into a convenience store in Adaniya, Kitanakagusuku Village.
According to Police, the boy entered the convenience store in the afternoon on Aug. 2nd, and threatened the store clerk in her 30’s with a kitchen knife, showing a note asking for money.
The employee took refuge to an office room and made an emergency call to police. A police patrol rushed to the scene, and arrested the boy on the spot. The boy has admitted to the charges.
