The 11^th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters received an emergency call about 7:30 in the morning of Aug. 28th from the captain of ‘Ferry Daito,’ owned by Daito Kaiun Sangyo Co., Ltd. reporting that one of the passengers has disappeared from the boat.

According to Nakagusuku Coast Guard Office, the missing person is a woman from Naha in her 30’s. The coast guard mounted a search for the woman with five patrol vessels and two aircraft, but to no avail.
