The Naha Board of Education has sent a warning to all elementary and junior high schools in Naha, informing them that a spate of incidents involving attacks on school children has been reported at Matsugawa Park and Hantagawa area in Naha City in September.

For example, on Monday an unknown man hit a junior high school girl on her face when the girl was on the way home after attending a tutoring school. The City Board of Education has advised students to walk via high-traffic and well-lit streets after school and at night, and in the presence of adults as much as possible.
