Itoman Tourist Farm to reopen Oct. 30

Itoman Tourist Farm, a tourist attraction in Mabuni, Itoman City that has been closed since last year will get a second life with a renewal opening on Oct. 30th.

With the opening, it also gets a new name, which is ‘Uchinaa Farm.’ The renovated facility will feature a larger selection of fruit wine manufactured on the farm, and offer in its restaurant pizza and pasta made with vegetables grown on the farm.

Itoman Tourist Farm originally opened in 2005, but was dissolved due to financial difficulties in June 2014. In the new facility, visitors can pet and feed some 10 different kinds of animals, including a zebra, sloth and buffalo, and participate in harvesting local vegetables as well. The farm will increase the selection of its fruit wines to four kinds of taste; passion fruit, acerola, mango and shiqwasa. They also plan to start to ship the wine off the island.

The facility will be open every day from 9:00 to 18:00. The admission is ¥600 for adults and ¥400 for children.
