Okinawa City Police arrested a 40-year-old male temporary employee of Okinawa City Government Saturday, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

According to police, the man who lives in Kawasaki, Uruma City, crashed into a car stopped at a traffic light about noon on Oct. 17th on Route 74 on the way from Kadena to Akamichi. Rebounding from the initial crash, the car hit another car.

Two people in the first car complained about a pain in their neck, but their injury is not life-threatening.

The police arriving at the scene administered a breathalyzer test that showed more than legal limit of alcohol in his breath. The man has admitted to the charges.
