Okinawa still has plenty of summer left as Tropa 2015 party rocks at Ginowan Tropical Beach over the last weekend of September.

Although the end of the summer is in sight even on Okinawa, there’s still time for a good beach party. The weather has cooled down in the evenings just so slightly to make partying on a beach an attractive proposition.

The two-day end-of-summer event Tropa 2015 on the Tropical Beach in Ginowan is in the calendar for the last weekend of September. The Tropa 2015 party is an event that has everything people of all ages would want, such as good food, live music performances by local musicians and beach activities.

Talking about the latter, the beach activities start with a beach cleaning on Saturday at 11:30. Participants meet 15 minutes before at Tropical Beach.

Visitors can vote for their favorite dish among the food stall fare at the event.

Anyone ages six or older can try sea kayaking on both days from 10:30 to 17:30 with the last sign up at 16:00. There’s a fee for this activity and children of elementary school age have to be in the company of a guardian.

Stand-up paddling is a new marine leisure activity that is fast becoming really popular. Visitors to the Tropa 2015 can have a personal experience at stand-up paddling from 10:30 to 17:30 (last sign up 16:00). There’s a fee for this activity also, and children of elementary school age have to be accompanied by a guardian.

There will be several food stalls at the beach, and people can vote for their favorite dish among food stall offerings. Leaflets that include a voting ticket are given out at the venue during the event.

Live music entertainment featuring local performers of various musical genres starts at 18:10 on both days.

A fire dance performer, Project Agni, will have a special performance featuring a fusion of music, fire and laser beams at the end of both days.

The event is re-scheduled for Oct. 3rd and 4th from noon to 21:00 on both days.

The event takes place at Ginowan Tropical Beach and 4-2-1, Mashiki, Ginowan City (https://goo.gl/U4ocMw). Admission to the event is free.

Project Agni Fire Dance Performance and Laser Show ends the party on both days.
