Large illumination displays are the norm during the year-end holiday and winter season in Japan, with many resorts and public parks twinkling with elaborate creations of LED lights.

An illumination called ‘Kariyushi Million Fantasy’ started at Okinawa Kariyushi Beach Resort Ocean Spa and Spa Resort EXES in Onna Village on Oct. 31st. This is the third time for the resort to set up the illumination display. The illumination is lit up every day from sunset to midnight through Apr. 10th next year. Admission to see the illumination is free.

New features this year are the addition of ‘Aqua Illusion’, a fountain show that incorporates illumination and music, and a 50-meter long light tunnel.

The resort is lighting up the main facility, parking space and pool side with about 1,400,000 LED lights.
