A mini car struck scooter coming from the opposite direction on Highway 58 in Tancha, Onna Village, Saturday evening. The scooter fell on the ground and a 27-year-old Urasoe man driving the bike suffered a minor injury on his right elbow. However, the mini car drove away from the accident site.

According to Ishikawa City Police, the mini car believed to have hit the motorcycle was found abandoned about 150 meters away from the accident site, but there was no trace of the driver.

Police are looking for the driver and investigating the accident as a hit-and-run case.
