Naha man held for assault over money trouble
Naha Police arrested a 32-year-old company president from Naha City on Nov. 25th, on suspicion of an assault.
According to police, Shuntaro Arai is suspected of assaulting a 21-year-old unemployed man in a condominium in Maejima, in the afternoon of Mar. 12th. After assaulting the man, Arai allegedly tied his arms and legs with a rope, and kept him captive against his will.
Investigators say Arai claims that he did not tie the victim up, and is denying part of the charges. The two reportedly knew each other, and had a money dispute between them.
