About 50 classic sports cars are scheduled to take part in a rally this weekend on a two-day tour that takes off and ends both days from Laguna Garden Hotel in Ginowan. The Saturday route takes participants to the northern parts of the island, while on Sunday they travel to south.

All cars participating in the event are authentic, no replicas allowed. The oldest cars in he lineup are 1926 Bentley 3 Litre Tourer and 1928 Bugatti T37. The newest are 1972 Porsche 911 and 1971 Ferrari Dino 246GT. The rest are from in between with 16 classified as “Vintage,” 14 as “Historic” and the rest “Modern,” although even those are from the ‘60’s and early ‘70’s. All participating cars were made before 1976.

The cars are scheduled to run courses, one each day.

Many of the cars and their owners are coming to Okinawa specifically for the event, and it’s a rare chance for people in Okinawa to see those real classic cars at one place. For people who like cars, this is truly one event not to miss.
