First “medical tourism” group from China arrives
The first group of 17 Chinese tourists arrived at Naha Airport from Amoy, China, on Jan. 7th, for a special tour called “medical tourism” that includes both a medical health examination and sightseeing tours on the island.
Participants are scheduled to stay on Okinawa five days and six nights. They are staying at a resort hotel, and go through a health check and cancer examination at Tomigusuku Chuo Hospital and Toyosaki Clinic. They also visit tourist spots like Gyokusendo Cave and Churaumi Aquarium.
Each participant of the trip has paid about one million yen for the all-inclusive tour.
