More than 120 companies and businesses are scheduled to participate in the 39th Okinawa City Business Fair scheduled for Jan. 23rd and 24th. It’s an annual two-day event that highlights the city’s businesses and products, and at the same time provides a bevy of family fun and entertainment.

The fair is divided according to products, including areas for world food, agricultural, forestry and fishery products, company PR and more. There’s also a stage for live entertainment during the fair. For people who want to experience to make something, there are craft booths where visitors can try their hand in making glasswares, woodwork, and leather products among others.

Organizers have also remembered the needs of families with playgrounds for children.

Motor sports fans will have racing cars on display and from outside of Okinawa City, local specialties from Yamagata, Aichi, Nagano, Hokkaido and Osaka Prefectures will tickle the curiosity and taste buds of the visitors.

The festival runs from 10:00 to 18:00 on Saturday and closes one hour earlier on Sunday at Okinawa Comprehensive Athletic Park Gymnasium and adjoining area in Hiyane. Admission to the fair is free, as is parking on the park’s parking areas. Additional parking is organized at the Awase Fishing Port with free shuttle buses running between the port and the fair grounds.
