Car catches fire, no one hurt at Minatogawa

A car caught fire while traveling on Highway 58 at Minatogawa, Urasoe City early in the morning of May 7th.

According to Urasoe Police, the car was running south when it burst into fire for some reason. The driver of the car called police and a fire-engine rushed to the site and put the fire out.

The driver who’s in his 40s says that after he turned onto Highway 58, the engine suddenly stopped with smoke billowing from under the hood. Then smoke reached the car inside, and the driver got out of the car, which after a while burst into flames.

Because of the accident, the road was blocked causing a heavy traffic jam. No one was injured in the accident.
