San-A expands Internet shopping service area
San-A, the local Okinawan supermarket and department store chain, is expanding its online shopping service area to the Nishihara Branch district.
Until now, the service was offered only in the area around San-A Kyozuka City branch in Urasoe, but the San-A Nishihara City branch started the same service from May 9tht. The new area where the service is available covers Nishihara, and some parts of Nakagusuku and Yonabaru. The area covers a total of 24,000 households.
With the service a customer can purchase products online, and get them delivered on the same day or latest the next. A project staff member of the service said people who are busy with childrearing and those, who can’t leave their house requested the service.
The service works on a membership basis, and people can register for it online. San-A charges a membership fee of ¥500 per month for the service, and seniors over 60 of age can also order by fax or phone.
