A friend found a fellow visitor floating on the ocean off Club Med Ishigaki on Kabira Beach, Friday morning.

The man who was in his 60s was taken in a cardiopulmonary arrest to Yaeyama Hospital in Ishigaki City where he was confirmed dead shortly afterwards.

The man had arrived at Ishigaki from Tokyo for a holiday at Club Med earlier on the same day, and went to swim with his three friends right after arriving.
