New cruise ship starts regular service from Taiwan

“Golden Princess,” one of the Princess Cruises liners based at Keelung Port, Taiwan, is starting regular docking at Naha.

The Golden Princess is a 108,865-gross ton cruise liner with a passenger capacity of 2,636. It is starting a regular service arriving at Naha Port at 13:30 every Friday and Monday. The ship is scheduled to run the route from Aug. 19 through Oct. 10.

The Golden Princess made her first visit to Naha Port on Apr. 30th, and is has continued docking at Naha randomly since then. It has had a regular service to Ishigaki Port every Tuesday, and to Hirara Port every Wednesday. In total, two cruise ships from Taiwan will have regular service to Naha, increasing the number of tourists from Taiwan.

“Golden Princess” is a high-class cruise ship that has an open-air theater and four swimming pools on the deck.

Currently, “Super Star Aquarius” of Star Cruises, a 51,309-gross ton liner with a passenger capacity of 2,100 is already having a regular service to Naha Port from Taiwan arriving at 08:00 every Tuesday.
