Okinawa Total Living Show this weekend in Ginowan

The 30th Okinawa Total Living Show, a comprehensive exhibition on everything related to housing and living started today, Friday, at Okinawa Convention Center in Ginowan. The event will run through Sunday, Oct. 16.

presented by Okinawa Times and J Press, and is open from 10:00 to 18:00 each day.

The theme of this year’s show, presented by Okinawa Times and J Press, is “Find your dream space – find your own future home here!” 54 companies are taking part in the exhibition showcasing houses constructed of various materials, including reinforced concrete and wood. The exhibition also features all-electric houses, and different building materials. Admission to the exhibition is free.

To highlight the 30th anniversary of the exhibition, there is a virtual reality corner where visitors can experience walking through virtual houses by using special goggles, and compare different arrangements of the living space in the virtual house.

The show includes a residential design exhibition, a care vehicle fair, and Kanasa-Uchinamun local products fair. On Saturday and Sunday, a special seminar will focus on preparing for one’s death, called “shukatsu” in Japanese.

A space consultant will give a lecture on creating cozy spaces on Saturday, and another lecture on Sunday will give tips on how to clean up.
